  • In Matthew 27:15-31; Jesus was mocked and spit on, the people chose to release a murderer instead of him, and the soldiers took Jesus and they put a scarlet robe on him, they out a crown of thorns on him, they put a reed in his right hand, and they kneeled before him and mocked him saying, “Hail, King of the Jews.” And they struck him on his head with the reed.
  • In Psalm 19:12-13; David says to God to keep him from sin, to declare him innocent from hidden faults. that he should be blameless and innocent before the great transgression.

David was talking with God, and he prophesied that his sins would be forgiven and that he would be blameless before God. How Jesus was blamed and mocked that he wouldn’t have to.

Day 30 · Exodus 22–24 · Matthew 28 · Proverbs 4:1–9

Matthew’s gospel begins with the quote from Isaiah 7.14 in Matthew 1.23 “they shall call his name Immanuel, which translated means ‘God with us’ “

Then the gospel ends in Matthew 28.20 with “I am with you always, even to the end of the age”

Fulfillment from front to finale.

What a chapter!

“I will not drive them out before you in a single year; otherwise the land would become desolate and wild animals would multiply against you. Little by little I will drive them out ahead of you, until you become fruitful and possess the land.”
‭‭Exodus‬ ‭23‬:‭29‬-‭30‬ ‭

Are you waiting for answers, are you standing for revival in your life? It says God would not take the enemies out quick, so that the land would not become desolate, to keep beast from overgrowing, and that he would increase you to where you can manage what he has for you!

Let you, your life, be the Promise, that God has for you, Land. Can he do a quick work? i believe he can. But he works with open hearts. Those who walk in faith. Psalms 85:8-13

He loves you too much!

Lets say it another way. The wealth transfer people are talking about. Does God want to give you a factory with machine problems and no workers and a supply line of raw goods broken and a way to sale your goods having to be rebuilt. No he wants you to come into it, with the gift fully functioning…

Like Viks sermon today. The covenant has been paid for!

“Behold, I am sending an angel before you to protect you along the way and to bring you to the place I have prepared. Pay attention to him and listen to his voice; do not defy him, for he will not forgive rebellion, since My Name is in him.”
‭‭Exodus‬ ‭23‬:‭20‬-‭21‬ ‭BSB‬‬

Here God refers to the angel that will go before them into the land v.23. One could say the same angel that Joshua talks to at the wall of Jericho.

One of the clearest Christophanies in the old testaments. Though if you read one translation they will mute the idea and another will capitalize letters to point out.

But in Joshua 5:14-15 Joshua is not told to get up from worshipping him. And the angel tells him to take off his shoes because the ground is holy. Reference to Moses and God.

“When Judas, who had betrayed Him, saw that Jesus was condemned, he was filled with remorse and returned the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭27‬:‭3‬ ‭BSB‬‬

Beware of bitterness and offense. He didn’t think his feelings/actions would lead to death.

“As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness.”
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭17‬:‭15‬ ‭KJV‬‬

What a beautiful prophecy that we shall rise in His likeness, whether from the grave or alive at His return

Day 26 · Exodus 12–13 · Matthew 26:1–35 · Psalm 18:1–24

  • In Psalms 18:1-16; David talks about how he was oppressed by his enemy, and death encompasses him, and destruction assailed him, and Sheol entangled him; but one thing that caught my eye when I was reading this; was when He started to describe the LORD who heard his cry out to him, from heaven. And how in his distress, the LORD came running to him, and How the earth reeled, and rocked, and; how the foundations of the Earth were moved, that the mountains moved. How they quaked because He was angry. How smoke came from his nostrils and devouring fire came from his mouth. How he made the heavens bow to him. And thick darkness were under his feet. How he rode a cherub, and flew, how he came swiftly on the wings of the wind. He made darkness his covering, his canopy, thick clouds dark with water. Out of the brightness before him coming from him hailstones and coals of fire broke through his clouds. How when he spoke, it was like thunder in the heavens, and it was hailstone and coals of fire. How he sent arrows from his speech and they scattered everywhere. How lightning came from his mouth, and he routed where they went. How the channels of waters were seen and revealed, and the foundations of the world were uncovered and seen. He is describing God as God runs to his protection in all his glory, and how THE LORD PAYS ATTENTION TO HIM, when there seems to be other more mighty things in creation, more important than us. But we are more important to God than everything. He didn’t even care that the earth could get destroyed, or that the heavens bowed down to him. But HE WAS LOOKING AT YOU. His focus was on you. The greatest desire for anything in God’s heart, is you.

He’s basically just describing God with all mighty things in creation, and how they all formed God. And it got me thinking that this creation IS God; or I should say, God is in all things, and he is in the wind, he is in the thunder, he is in the water, he is the foundation of the earth, and the pillars of the sea. He is and was always there.

  • In verses 17-19; he talks about how God delivered him. And In verses 19-24; David describes how important he is to God. How God dealt with him according to his righteousness, according to the cleanness of David’s Hands (because David had Faith in the promise of Jesus, before Jesus was on earth. And that he was cleaned because of Jesus.) He described That GOD delights in him, how because of his righteousness he was blameless before God, and THIS God in verses 7-16, He sees YOU with a glory of righteousness and purity, that now he sees that you have done it, you have kept yourself from corruption, from drinking, from masturbating, from sleeping with someone, from killing someone, from hating on someone, from hating yourself, from stealing, from any other evil and corrupt act that is NOT YOURS ANYMORE. You have not done that no more. That isn’t you. You have not done that in Jesus name. You are blameless before a God who sees everything. You are clean before God.

Take away: The Lord told me I have never sinned. He said that my sins are not mine. That I have never sinned and that I am pure, I am righteous and beautiful. My hands are clean and he is rewarding me for keeping my hands clean (But it is not me but Christ in me).

i find it so wild how all the scripture goes back to bounce off of one another.
Psalms 18:24, i even imagine jesus during the crucifixion thinking about the reward he’s gonna receive (us, our freedom, deliverance, healing, salvation)
Or exodus describes the process of the passover and then in matt 26 we literally see the lamb who dies for the sins of the world partaking of the passover lamb knowing he was the greater sacrifice and doing all of that while his betrayer was dining at the same table as jesus and had the audacity to ask him “jesus is it i who will betray you”

Day 24 · Exodus 7–8 · Matthew 24 · Psalm 16

  • Exodus 7:20; “Moses and Aaron did as the LORD commanded…”
  • Exodus 8:31; “And the Lord did as Moses asked…”
  • Psalm 16:5-6; “The Lord is my chosen portion and my cup; you hold my lot. The lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; indeed I have a beautiful inheritance.”
  • Psalm 16:9-10; “Therefore my heart is glad, and my whole being rejoices; my flesh also dwells secure. For you will not abandon my soul to Sheol, or let your holy one see corruption.”

In Matthew 24; Jesus talks about the signs and wonders that will happen in the last days to show that it is close to the day of judgment.

Take Away: God is telling me to follow his heart, his will, and where his spirit leads me; Then he will give me the desires of my heart. He wants me not to worry of my inheritance for He is my choice of the portion, and he has made me dwell securely. I should not worry about whom I should marry, what job I will have, what I will have for food, but that he will make my flesh dwell securely. He has my lot. Indeed I have a beautiful inheritance with him in heaven.
