δόξα - "glory"
from δοκέω vb. “to think, to seem, to be of reputation, to hold an opinion of something or someone”
Hence δόξα “glory” primarily indicates the opinion, notion or thought widely held concerning its owner. Its range of meaning in the NT includes the credit, honor and glory of something, but also the inherent qualities which are their source.
So especially in the Lord’s priestly prayer in John 17, δόξα speaks of the renown, fame and repute which is given by the Father to the Son from eternity, and is innate in Him, and which is now to be given to and shared with His Bride.
Examples: John 17.24, Romans 1.23, 2 Corinthians 3.18
